Norwood Community Media Staff

Norwood Community Media is staffed by industry professionals who also mostly happen to be Norwood residents and graduates of Norwood Public schools! Below you’ll find biographies for the current NCM staff.

Executive Director: Jack Tolman

Executive Director Jack Tolman was NCM’s first hire in 2004 and has established a station and a staff that consistently produces high quality programming for the town of Norwood. Under Jack’s leadership,  NCM has been recognized at the National Level by being a 5 time winner of the Alliance for Community Media award for Overall Excellence. In addition to leading the station and staff, he continues to produce long form programs, news stories, sports productions and local business profiles that highlight all things Norwood. His position of Director of Video Technology for the Norwood school department allows for the continued success of the NCM/School Department partnership. Jack is proud of the many Norwood alumni that have gone on to have careers in the broadcasting industry.

Station Manager: Meghan Corbett

Meghan is a 2007 graduate of Framingham State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. After completing her internship at NECN she was hired by Norwood Community Media in March of 2008. Meghan is responsible for working with Public Access Producers to coordinate, schedule and broadcast their programs as well as teach classes and work on an individual basis with Public Access users. In September 2010 Meghan created the widely popular middle school program NCM Youth Video Club. In addition, Meghan manages the website, creates the schedule for the Town Channel, and handles the social media sites. Meghan has also produced and covered the Matt Brown Galas, Norwood Day, The Last Hurrah and Dancing with the Norwood Stars. As a graduate of Norwood High School Class of 2003, Meghan is very excited to be a part of the success of NCM and is looking forward to what the future holds. Business Manager: Sarah Sullivan

Sarah joined Norwood Community Media in June 2006. As the part time business manager of Norwood Community Media Sarah’s responsibilities include the financial and human resource administration of the office.  Sarah works alongside the Executive Director and Station Manager to establish the annual budget and offer business insight in the strategic direction of NCM.  In her free time, she is an active participant in Norwood Town Government and Treasurer of the Turner Syndrome Society of the United States, a non-profit organization supporting women with Turner Syndrome and their families.  Sarah is a graduate of Boston College and earned a Master of Business Administration from Babson College. Promotions Coordinator: Brian Boudreau

Brian is a Norwood resident and 2011 graduate of Norwood High School and NHS-TV program. Brian previously worked as a part-time producer since 2009 for NCM. Before working full-time for NCM, Brian was working as an office administrator. His administrative and communication skills have been put to great use since joining the full-time staff. As Promotions Coordinator, he is responsible for the daily social media updates and overall promotion of NCM.  Brian also works closely with the News Director to promote and help with the production of NCM’s weekly newscast “Norwood News”, working both in front of and behind the camera. Brian is also responsible for the organization and execution of the PEG Access content schedules. Brian has also been on crew for various events around town such as Dancing with the Norwood Stars, Town Meeting & Election Night. While Brian’s passion is video production, in his free time he enjoys photography, traveling, and listening to vinyl records. Staff Producer: Ron Marshalsea

Ron is a 2017 graduate of Norwood High School and the NHS-TV program, a 2019 graduate of MassBay Community College with an Associate’s in Communications, and a 2021 graduate of Emerson College with a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies. Before working full time for NCM, Ron was working as a podcast coordinator, and before that, worked part-time as an apprentice plumber under his mom, Master Plumber Susan-Jacobs Marshalsea. During his time at Emerson, he was one of the original members of the group “Common Collective” which helped teach students the basics of video/audio production, and he was also a host, audio mixer, and executive producer of an Emerson Independent Video (EIV) show called “The Dish”. Ron is now a staff producer for NCM, where he produces stories for Norwood News, creates social media and sporting event graphics, helps with all field productions, and is currently the anchor for the “Sports Update” segment of Norwood News.

Staff Producer: Kiki Thaxter

Kiki Thaxter was born and raised in Norwood and graduated from Norwood High in 2017. After high school she attended the 2-year program at MassBay Community College, where she received her associate’s degree in communication. Afterwards, she transferred to Umass Boston where she then received a bachelor’s degree in communication. Back in 2021, Kiki did an internship at WCVB Chronicle where she tagged along with various producers and on-air talents during video shoots and was given insight on the broadcast world. As a kid, Kiki always enjoyed recording videos with her friends, editing music videos, and being in front of the camera. Now, Kiki is a producer for NCM and is in charge of running the social media accounts, produces segments for the weekly news, and often hosts the weekly Norwood News.

Producer: Michael O’Donnell

Michael is a 2014 graduate of Norwood High School and a 2017 graduate of Westfield State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in film studies. Michael started as a freelancer for NCM in high school, working multiple sporting events, government meetings, and Summer and Winter concerts. During college, Michael worked in the sports information office at Westfield State University Athletics as the lead cameraman for the web stream broadcast of sporting events. Michael had the opportunity to broadcast the Westfield Women’s Basketball team in the NCAA tournament. He also completed an internship with New England Sports Network as a Broadcast Associate for Red Sox Remote Production. Currently, Michael is one of the lead producers for government meetings at NCM.  Michael assists in sports productions, produces segments for Norwood News, films concerts and produces local events held in Norwood.
